Everyone feels like there is no hometown like your own.  It isn't until you travel to other cities that you have a basis for comparison.  I think that I can speak with authority that the City of Gladwin offers to both the citizen of Gladwin and visitors, many features and benefits that most communities may only be thinking of offering to their citizens.

When I look at our two senior citizen high rise buildings, an airport that will accommodate small jets, a Community Arena for ice hockey and a 55-acre Sports Complex, these alone would do most communities proud.

In addition to our new streetscape, the Riverwalk complex and the Riverwalk itself provide features and attractions that really set our community apart from others in Mid Michigan.

But it is not just our physical assets that make a difference.  I have to believe that we have an open, caring community that is looking to provide a rich quality of life experience for its neighbors and the visitors to our area.  It is to each of our citizens, who are endowed with the spirit of "It is what you make of it."
