Freedom of Information Act Requests (FOIA)

The Freedom of Information Act is a Michigan Statute that gives the public the rights to documents regarding the affairs of government, public officials and public employees.  Under the Act, a person has the right to inspect, copy or receive copies of "public records" of a "public body."

To make a Freedom of Information Act request, please e-mail Shannon Greaves, Gladwin City Clerk or by phone at (989) 426-9231, Extension 101.  There is a form that must be filled out as the formal request.

There are also charges that are associated with the Freedom of Information Act requests.
